It is with great sadness that I must inform Association Members of the death of Warrant Officer ‘Buck’ Buckley, a dapper gentleman who served with 57 Squadron and who was a stalwart of our Reunions for many years.

As recently as May, Buck was still actively supporting efforts to ensure that the memory and legacy of the heroes who served in Bomber Command is recognised by future generations. Along with other Bomber Command veterans, he attended the official launch of the Lincolnshire Bomber Command Memorial Appeal (see http://www.lincsbombercommandmemorial.c … plain.html).

Buck’s cremation service will be held at Boston Crematorium, Marian Rd, Boston PE21 9HA at 1215 hours on Friday 27 September 2013.
