It is with great sadness that the Association reports the passing of Maureen Stevens on 4 December 2017, aged 97 years.  Maureen, as Members will know, was married to Steve Stevens formerly of 57 Squadron and passed away just one day before she and Steve were to celebrate their 74th Wedding Anniversary.  The story of their wartime courtship at RAF Scampton is told movingly in The Times and in the Daily Mail which also includes a marvelous photo of them both reading a congratulatory message from Her Majesty the Queen on the occasion of their platinum wedding anniversary.  Our heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathy go to Steve, son Adrian and the family.
