Since 3 years now I and Vincenzo Militello are organizing a memorial service on May 1st every year.

Lancaster ED706 DX-A crashed on May 1st 1943, killing all the crew.

I have been making efforts in finding all the relatives of the crew, and after a 2 my search was complete!

I have obtained ORB’s and several documents regarding the crew and all the relatives have sent me a portrait of the crew.

I am maintaining a website of the crash that can be found at: http://lancastered706memorial.nl/

Hopefully you will find the information interesting!

I must say I have been looking for a photograph of ED706, is there perhaps an archive where I can find one?

    Warmest regards,

    David van Coolwijk
