It is with great sadness that we report the passing of George Joseph Woolley aged 89 on Monday 10th March 2014. George served from 1943 to 1947, including time as an Air Engineer with 57 Squadron. George’s stepson says that
‘George spoke fondly of his time with the Squadron, his service spanning the time 1943 to 1947, it was clear to those that loved him that this part of his life gave him many memories, both sad and happy.’
His funeral is on Thursday 27th March 2014 at Bedford Crematorium in Bedfordshire.
