You will have read in the latest Association Newsletter of Nicola Gaughan’s search for information about her uncle James Linehan and his fellow crew members who were lost in 1942 during a raid on Hamburg. A portrait of James has recently come to light, dated in 1944 (9 December or 12 September) and possibly by an eastern european artist. Does anyone have any idea who the artist may have been or any information about the background to the portrait?
