I have received a message from an ex-RAF Colleague who is looking for more information about a raid against Munich on 18/19 December 1944 in which a 57 Squadron Lancaster (LM582) took part. The crew was:
F/O A Campbell Pilot (Australian)
Sgt Sawyer. F/Eng
W/O R Johns. Nav
F/S A Wright A/BR
F/S E Fitzgerald. W/OP
SGT E. Weaver. M/U/G
SGT P Davison R/G
My former colleague has a navigation chart from the raid which details the events as they unfolded on the night along with DR, EP plots and night fighter attacks. He has followed the crew to the end of the war but is now searching to see if there are any surviving members of the crew or if he can make contact with their families.
